Emergency treatment only
Update 24th March:
I am sorry to say that all treatment appointments must be cancelled with immediate effect. We will make every effort to contact those with appointments that need to be cancelled, and will reschedule these appointments once we are permitted to continue with elective (non-emergency) treatment.
The Ministry of Health, Dental Council and the New Zealand Dental Association require all non-essential and elective dental services be suspended immediately to reduce community spread, to protect clinicians, staff and patients. All emergency treatment** and relief of pain which cannot be managed by medications, should continue with appropriate precautions taken.
The CDHB, department of Hospital Dentistry, is currently working with local dentists to determine if a centralised facility can be organised to help with application of appropriate precautions, and provide the most appropriate emergency interventions. More information about this will be provided when available.
I, and all the team at CPD, wish you all the very best in this difficult time, and hope to see you again, fit and well, in the not-too-distant future. I hope to make the best of this time with my family.. I'm sure there is a secret list of all the things I said I would do around the house 'when I get time' :)
If you have any questions, please do email or call. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
He waka eke noa. Kia kaha!
We are all in this canoe together. Stay strong!
**Emergency treatment includes oral-facial trauma, significant infection, prolonged bleeding or pain which cannot be managed by medications.
